Lyn C – Ocean View

Lyn contacted Outback after viewing some of our recently completed work posted on a local Facebook community page. One of our customers was so delighted with his new outdoor blinds and Outback’s quality workmanship, so he posted his own write up about the product and the service he received from us. Lyn also lives on a beautiful property in Ocean View with stunning views of the Sunshine Coast, Glasshouse Mountains and as far south as the eye can see.

With this beautiful outdoor entertaining area facing an easterly direction, the strong winds and regular rainfall was constantly affecting the use of this area, so Lyn decided to give us a call. We were faced with some challenges to enclose this area. The Alfresco was designed with steel posts partly bricked around which created an open section to be infilled between our blinds and the steel posts. We also had to create a structurally sound infill solution that would support the blinds and shutters in the strong windy conditions without looking like it was just an add on to the project. In this project, we have combined our Australian made Aluminium Shutters and our Outback Extreme Outdoor Blinds. The two products compliment each other perfectly and the shutter panels that include a hinged door at both ends of the Alfresco provide a convenient lockable entry and exit point. We have also supplied and installed custom-made flashing to infill the openings between the blinds that perfectly match the monument powder coat finish on the Aluminium Shutters and Outback Extreme Blinds.

We are all delighted with the outcome of this project, it simply looks amazing and has provided Lyn and Jon with a stunning outdoor room, suitable for use in all weather conditions. Lyn has also created posts on local Facebook community pages and has posted comments on our own Facebook page about our products and service.
